 Infant & Toddler Overview

At Building Blocks, we recognize that the first three years of life are an extraordinary time which sets the stage for all years to follow.  The child's first three years are critical for the development of the brain and language.  During this period, the child's life-experience plays a fundamental role in the hard-wiring of the brain.  This lays the foundation for all intellectual and emotional development to follow.

Features

  • Nurturing personal care that builds trust and self-esteem.
  • Regular communication with parents, including daily notes, to inform you about your child's day.
  • Stimulating activities and group interactions that encourage your child to play and explore, generating interest and curiosity as your child grows.
  • Age-appropriate toys, games, and music to stimulate development.

Twos Overview

The World of twos reflects the transitional nature of the child's third year of life.  The program is designed for each child to transition from the sensory-motor world of toddlers to an increasingly social world and the onset of symbolic thinking.  Twos are exploding in their power to communicate, to move purposely, to assert their independence and individuality, and to control their important bodily functions.
